On May 21, 2016, the first Trade and Commerce Federation of Overseas Chinese Symposium in Germany was successfully held at the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin, Germany. Mr. Wang Weidong presided over the meeting, the German Overseas Chinese Economic and Trade Associations, Chinese-funded enterprises and the German Chinese Chamber of Commerce sent more than 50 representatives attended the meeting. The symposium founded the beginning of holding a direct dialogue between the business office of the Chinese Embassy in Germany and the non-governmental trade community of the German overseas Chinese community, which played an important role in the history of the German-Chinese economic relations. During the symposium, Mr. FANKSCHU, the co-founder of SONNGIE, spoke on the new model of Sino-German business cooperation, which proposed a new model for the mutual trust, technical communication and business cooperation between the Chinese and German enterprises. It also reduced the threshold of cooperation, provided a more practical and effective way to speed up cooperation.
